Dumpster Choir

A communal singing event for all voices. Since the dawn of time, human beings have been bringing their voices together to collectively and cathartically express a full range of emotions…

Then – a few millennia later – the music business came along, turned everything into a competition and made us all ashamed to fufil this most basic of needs without feeling like we’re being judged on the X Factor or something.

Now, The Dumpster Choir is here, so that we may reclaim and celebrate our perfectly imperfect voices, and we’re going to do it by upcycling some of the trashiest songs the last century or so has thrown at us.

Expect the sublime, the ridiculous, and everything in between!

We believe – we insist – that singing together is not only good for your mental health, but should be accessible for everyone, regardless of ability, talent, age, mobility, gender, wealth, class, race, spirituality or musical taste.

So come along and blow off some steam together.

We’ll provide you with lyric sheets and barely-competent-but-sturdy live instrumental accompaniment and musical direction from your hosts Jon & Carmen.

You just need to bring your voice.

Talent or confidence are not requirements to participate!

You can sing as much or as little as you feel comfortable with (you can even lipsync if your nerves get the better of you).
